After twenty years of architectural practice I have segued into a vibrant career as a freelance writer―crafting compelling stories about the built environment, the spaces in between, and everyday places where people feel at home. I experience the art of writing, like architecture, as a multidisciplinary venture akin to an ever-expanding liberal arts education which is both thrilling and daunting.
While I am delighted with my contributions to architecture and the experience of place, including schools, synagogues, and work in the national parks, I find similar joy in exposing interesting and undiscovered spaces and creative place makers who spark my imagination and others.
